WATCH: 16-year-old opposes BDS at college diversity committee meeting

16-year-old Aliya Nussbaum stands in front of Mt. San Jacinto College’s Diversity Committee

On March 5, 2015, 16-year-old Aliya Nussbaum stood in front of the Diversity Committee of Mt. San Jacinto College in Riverside, California, opposing that the public school’s funds should be paid to a guest speaker, Miko Peled, who promotes the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) of Israel.

Other pro-Israel supporters to speak against BDS were TIG founding president, Barry Nussbaum (father of Aliya), and TIG founder and executive director, Jack Saltzberg.

Ultimately, Miko Peled was not invited to speak at the school because of a procedural technicality and a lack of funds.
